Book - Movie - Workout Class???

Confession: I am not on the Hunger Games bandwagon yet.  I am clearly behind and I might finally download it to my ipad to read on my flight to California next week.  Right now it's only a $5 download from Amazon.

To those that are on the bandwagon I had to share this with you.  The local fitness club chain that I belong to has a work out class in April based on the books!  If you're local will you be joining the classes? Sounds like it might be alot of fun!

"Cross train in a workout inspired by the Hunger Games.

Train Like a Tribute is a high-intensity circuit workout where class participants master the survival skills displayed in the fictional Hunger Games story. Archery, tree climbing, strength training and speed work are on the menu as class-goers channel the inner strength of lead characters Katniss and Peeta. Vigorous exercises named “Katniss Kickbacks”, “Sprint to the Cornucopia” and “Peeta Presses” pay homage to our favorite Tribute warriors while you cross train in this high-intensity, full-body workout. It may not be “survival of the fittest”, but you could end up in the best shape of your life."

Bridal Shower - Sneak Peek Invites!

If you've followed this blog before you know that I've announced my sister is getting married this summer and I get to be her matron maid of honor.  I already have my dress! And so does the beautiful Bride.  The wedding planning is in full swing, the big stuff is behind us and we're working through the details.

I'm honored to be helping with the paper products.  I'm almost done with her shower invites.  Here is the sneak peek:

I honestly have no idea why I opened a jewelry Etsy shop.  Yes, I like shiny things so that could be the reason.  But if you read my Etsy profile it says my favorite material is paper which is 100% true.  I love cards and envelopes and the art of snail mail.  I made my own wedding invitations and it was my most favorite DIY project to date.  I've been thinking about this lately and hope to launch a note card shop section of my shop soon.  Or a new shop all together.  Thoughts?

I'll share more about the shower invitation and the rest of the amazing goodies I'm coming up with after the big show.  I have to keep some things a surprise from the Bride!

First Indoor Craft Fair Experience

I'm still new to the craft fair world.  So far I have two outdoor fairs under my belt and one of them was a two day event.  I did alright at both of them making just over twice my booth fee.  I have enjoyed the shows and the people and and will be applying to both again.  During the holidays I started looking for an indoor show to help me sell some Inventory before we moved.
I ended up doing a very small show at a high school.  I did manage to make twice my booth fee, but when the fee is only $25 it is not very impressive.  The good thing is that indoor shows are very easy to transport and set up and I would do another one if it was a better fit.  I learned with this experience that the less expensive a show is seems to correlate to customers looking for less expensive items.   I do not fit in this category.  You live and you learn.
And because everyone loves booth photos, here is my first indoor set up for a Holiday show.

Have you done an indoor fair? Has anyone else had the same experience with a less expensive fair bringing customers unwilling to make more expensive purchases? Does anyone have any constructive feedback on my booth set up.  I'm working on some new branding for my upcoming fairs this season!

Vacation in Instagram

I'm currently on my way home from an amazing five day family vacation in sunny San Diego.  My brother moved out here in 2010 and it was my parents first opportunity to visit him.  We've been to San Diego twice before on family vacations.  And now that we're older we did less of the popular tourist sites like the Zoo and Sea World and explored many areas we haven't seen before.  We also got to celebrate Bryan's birthday with him and the highlight was seeing him in 42nd Street Musical performed at the Coronado Playhouse.

This is a little snap shot From each day brought to you by Instargam!

Thursday Evening: sunset from the condo

A Thousand Words - Photo 5

Photo 5: sometimes I feel like I live in California.  I took this photo on job site visit a few months ago.  I travel there every two - three weeks and I'm here again today.  I don't like being away from the hubby, but I guess it could be worse.
